Description: The workshop is designed for new and experienced personnel who are responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heating systems. Information on how to properly install, maintain, and troubleshoot furnaces and heat pumps is presented in step-by-step detail. The topics of proper airflow, safety, and proper use of test and service equipment related to furnace and heat pump servicing and troubleshooting are demonstrated. The workshop also prepares technicians to accomplish a nationally recognized, 50-question, multiple-choice certification exam on carbon monoxide and combustion analysis.
Each participant receives an interactive workbook and professional-grade digital meter capable of accomplishing all necessary electrical, temperature, gas-pressure gas furnaces, and other heating equipment measurements.

Description: In the course, students will learn about critical design and installation issues that must be fully understood and properly addressed to ensure years of comfortable and trouble-free operation of the facility. Participants will learn energy consumption issues and technology available to minimize operating costs, learn how to properly calculate moisture (latent) load, and understand design and operating factors that can impact pool evaporation rate. Lessons will also center on how to maximize human comfort and health as well as preserve building integrity, identify routine maintenance procedures to ensure the natatorium delivers years of pleasure, and learn about pool water chemistry and disinfectant byproducts present in a pool atmosphere. By participating in this course, attendees will earn 14 professional development hours (PDH) and 1.4 continuing education units (CEU). Fee covers notebook and other course materials, refreshments, lunches, and certificate.
