DENVER — The National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) announced that Robert J. Linder, P.E., NEBB president-elect, was presented with ASHRAE’s Distinguished Service Award at the ASHRAE Annual Conference in Denver.

This award recognizes members of ASHRAE who have served the building technology society faithfully and with distinction on committees or otherwise given freely of their time and talent on behalf of the organization.

Linder has been a member of ASHRAE since 1995. He has served on local, regional, and society level committees. Most recently, he was director and regional chair for Region VI. In this role he served on the society board of directors and as the chair of his region’s Chapters’ Regional Committee.

NEBB is an international association of certified firms that ensure compliance of building HVAC systems with building performance requirements. NEBB disciplines include testing, adjusting and balancing; building systems commissioning; building systems retro-commissioning; fume hood testing; building enclosure testing; sound and vibration measurement; and cleanroom performance testing.
