CINCINNATI — HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric (formerly known as Thompson) has been named the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) 2013 Outstanding Small Employer of the Year. HELP received the award from Disabled American Veterans, a nonprofit organization with 1.2 million members.

A little over four years ago, Wesley Holm, HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric’s president, said he was inspired to do something to help our country’s veterans. “I’m sure we can all be thankful for the people throughout the many years in the history of this country, who have made incredible sacrifices in defending America,” said Holm. “I wanted to try and do something special for the veterans in our community who have served on behalf of this country.”

With the support of its customers, HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electric has raised over $360,000 for veterans and veterans’ causes since 2009.
