TYLER, Texas — Trane kicked off the 2013 Race Across America (RAAM) on June 11 in Oceanside, Calif.

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Trane conducted a national search for an unstoppable cycling duo that best represented the Trane brand. Candidates submitted an audition video and resumes explaining why they deserved the internship. The entries were judged based on creativity, originality, experience, and poise.

Alison Burdick-Evenson and Tori Prager, both college students, won the national competition and earned a spot on the Trane Endurance Team. They will hit the road for the 3,000-mile journey and serve as the Trane brand ambassadors during the race.

Over the course of two weeks, Burdick-Evenson and Prager will travel from coast to coast alongside hundreds of professional and amateur cyclists in this year’s RAAM. Along the way, the Trane duo will be stopping in Oceanside, Calif.; Congress, Ariz.; Phoenix; Albuquerque; Durango, Colo.; Ulysses, Kan.; Wichita, Kan.; Kansas City, Mo.; St. Louis; Bloomington, Ind.; Oxford, Ohio; Blanchester, Ohio; Mount Airy, Md.; and Annapolis, Md., to bring the Trane brand to life for consumers along the race route.

The Trane Endurance Team will distribute Trane gear, enter race fans for opportunities to win prizes, and share energy-saving tips as the summer season heats up. In addition, they will partner with Trane dealers and distributors to provide local consumer offers and promotions. Throughout the race, the team will share interesting stories, photos, and videos of their trip at Facebook.com/Trane.
