ESCO Institute: System Performance Training Materials
The System Performance program was developed to aid technicians in understanding the proper techniques and procedures used to verify and optimize performance of HVAC systems. The program is designed to reduce warranty cost, callbacks, and increase the energy efficiency of heating and cooling equipment. Training Manual Item #PVPM identifies and addresses four main areas of concentration to maximize energy efficiency of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including airflow, critical charging procedures, psychrometrics, and combustion analysis. The Instructor’s Resource Disc Item SPVPPT contains a PowerPoint presentation with speaker notes. A four-part, 100-question certification examination is available to test a technician’s knowledge of the processes and procedures required to ensure HVAC systems are performing at maximum efficiency.
