ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — RSES announced the names of members who were awarded RSES Certificate Member (CM) and Certificate Member Specialist (CMS) status, January through March 2013.

In order to become a CM, a RSES member must first pass an examination that tests the knowledge required to install and service refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. CM-level members are recognized as having achieved a superior level of HVACR knowledge.

The following RSES members were awarded CM status: Mark D. Parina, of the Rochester Chapter, Rochester, N.Y.; Danny L. Petillo, of the Rose City Chapter, Tyler, Texas; Floyd F. Azbell, of the Eastern Shore Chapter, Salisbury, Md.; Arthur C. Houston, of the Delaware Valley Chapter, Philadelphia; and Chris Kelly, of the Pocono Chapter, Stroudsburg, Pa.

To obtain CMS status, an active specialist member (SM) or RSES member must first pass the CM examination. CMS status is earned by passing one or more of the eight specialist examinations available.

The following RSES members passed a CMS exam and were awarded CMS status: Michael J. Zerr, of the Souris Chapter, Minot, N.D., passed the exam in heating; Terry M. Rogers, of the Charleston Chapter, Charleston, S.C., passed the exam in HVACR electrical; and Jayson G. Goff, of the Middle Tennessee Chapter, Nashville, Tenn., passed the exam in domestic service.
