VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Educational sessions, speakers, and certifications were the highlights of the National Air Filtration Association’s (NAFA) 2013 TECH Conference in Louisville, Ky.

In total, nine speakers spoke on various updates, services, and news within NAFA. Dr. Brent Stephens of the Illinois Institute of Technology, reported on the very first NAFA research project, “HVAC Filtration and the Wells-Riley Approach to Assessing Risks of Infectious Airborne Diseases.”

A NAFA welcome party was held at the famous Louisville Slugger Museum.

The conference also recognized 39 people named as certified air filter specialists, three as NAFA-certified technicians, and three as NAFA-certified technicians, Level II.

TECH 2013 provided 12 hours of technical training and educational teachings and many additional hours of networking and enjoyment opportunities for the NAFA members and guests. TECH 2014 will be held April 10-12 at the Embassy Suites Orlando-Lake Buena Vista South in Kissimmee, Fla.
