HOUSTON — Aggreko, a leader in providing temporary power, temperature control, and oil-free compressed air services, has introduced a new line of portable cooling towers into its fleet. The units provide an additional option for companies needing a temporary cooling tower solution and range in cooling capacity from 3,000 to 9,000 gallons per minute (gpm).

Aggreko’s rental cooling tower fleet is said to be one of the largest available worldwide, consisting of nearly 500 units with a combined capacity in excess of 1.5 million gpm.

Features of the new line of cooling towers include a self-leveling capability and adjustable jacks to position and stabilize equipment placed on uneven terrain, minimizing ground preparation. In addition, the cooling towers provide cost-efficiencies for customers because a crane is not required for set-up and the design allows units to be installed in a matter of two to three hours, resulting in lower amounts of manpower and resources to be commissioned, said the company.

“Aggreko is proud to introduce our new line of portable cooling towers giving customers another option to choose from when faced with supplemental cooling capacity needs,” said Billy Childers, national manager, Aggreko Cooling Tower Services, Aggreko Americas. “The new line perfectly complements our existing heavy industrial and commercial duty fleets, and allows Aggreko to provide a scalable, best-fit portfolio of solutions to meet customer demand.”

The new cooling towers are immediately available for rental and contingency purposes providing fast service without the need for large capital expenditures. Aggreko also offers 24/7 remote monitoring and maintenance capabilities to immediately troubleshoot unexpected operational issues that arise.
