Course Description: The Total Pump Training course is an in-depth look at common pump applications, including selection, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Individuals in the pump and piping-system industries will find this to be a valuable course for learning the importance of proper pump operation and typical application behaviors, said the organizers. The course is designed to provide practical knowledge and skills needed to address common concerns involving pumps. This training will grant attendees the ability to take what they’ve learned and apply it immediately into a workplace.

Key topics covered include how to understand and get more out of pump-performance curves, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and American Petroleum Institute (API) pump standards, pump principles and characteristics of typical pump designs, how to avoid pump cavitation, how lifetime maintenance costs and energy costs can be lowered beginning at the pump selection process, and root cause failure analysis and how to effectively solve pump problems. The course is designed for plant engineers, design engineers, facility managers, maintenance technicians, mechanics, building owners, plant operators, safety engineers, pump sales representatives, and anyone who needs to select, specify, commission, install, and/or maintain liquid-piping systems and pipelines. Participants will be awarded 2.0 Continuing Educational Units (CEU) or 20 Professional Development Hours.
