SUWANEE, Ga. — Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division will celebrate the grand opening of its new headquarters in Suwanee, Ga., on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Nearly twice the size of its former space, also in Gwinnett County, the 550,000-square-foot facility will include the Cooling & Heating Division’s business headquarters, an engineering center, a professional training center, and warehouse space.

As its fifth headquarters in Gwinnett County since it began operations there in 1992, the company said the facility represents the Cooling & Heating Division’s strong growth and continuing long-term investment in Gwinnett County and the greater Atlanta region. Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division plans to hire more than 100 engineers, warehouse workers, and others locally over the next three years on top of its approximately 300 U.S.-wide employee base.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks by Mitsubishi Electric Corp. executives. Also speaking at the event will be Gretchen Corbin, deputy commissioner for global commerce, Georgia Department of Economic Development, and Charlotte Nash, chairman, Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners.
