WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will present a live webcast titled “CHP: Enabling Resilient Energy Infrastructure” on Wednesday, April 3, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

Following natural disasters such as Hurricane Sandy, the need to protect critical infrastructure facilities, to better prepare for energy emergencies and long-term electric grid outages, and to consider how to build a more resilient grid are frequent topics of conversation. Combined heat and power (CHP) systems can help meet the need for a more resilient energy infrastructure.

This webinar will highlight the role of CHP systems in critical infrastructure resiliency, business continuity, and emergency planning and operations.
