MINNEAPOLIS — The Energy Conservatory announced Collin Olson as its featured presenter for the 2013 Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) conference, March 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

During the conference, comprehensive learning tracks and workshops will focus on the installation of air barriers, contractor sessions, design-professional training, and testing and analysis. These tracks will cover ABAA installer training, auditor training, Wärme- und Feuchtetransport instationär (WUFI) training, blower door technician training, and Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) training, among others.

Virtually all styles of air barriers and equipment will be reviewed, including self-adhering sheet-membrane air barriers, fluid applied, spray polyurethane foam, mechanically fastened sheet membrane, mechanically fastened board stock, and exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS).

In his presentation, Olson will share his experience testing the airtightness of big buildings for an ASHRAE research project. Manufacturers of air barrier materials and equipment will be exhibiting, as will testing labs and building enclosure consulting companies.
