Developed in cooperation with the Green Mechanical Council, the Residential Heat Load Analyst training and certification program simplifies the task of teaching residential heat-load calculations. The program consists of one of the most detailed PowerPoint™ presentations ever created, claimed the organization. The kit contains nearly 500 slides and includes speaker’s notes. Four main areas covered include introduction to building heat transfer, building-envelope analysis, windows and doors, and heat gain and loss calculations. According to the organization, The 100-question Residential Heat Load Analyst certification measures one’s ability to properly determine the heating and cooling load of a structure, ensuring optimal system performance, less energy consumption, longer equipment life, and greater customer satisfaction. Persons who successfully pass their exams are awarded a patch, wall certificate, and truck decal from the Green Mechanical Council.
