Greenheck, Schofield, Wis., was selected as the 2012 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year in Milwaukee on Thursday, Feb. 28, by an independent panel of judges representing industry, education, and the public sector. This is the second time Greenheck has received the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award in the Mega Category where the state’s largest corporations compete. The first time the company won this honor was in 2004; Greenheck also won a Special Recognition Award for Sustained Excellence in the 2001 competition for Manufacturer of the Year.

The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) Award program, in its 25th year, is an annual recognition celebrating the success of manufacturers throughout the state. Companies are evaluated in areas such as financial growth or consistency, technological advances, product development, environmental solutions and sustainability, operational excellence/continuous improvement, commitment to employees, community support and involvement, and effective research and development.

“Being selected manufacturer of the year from among so many outstanding Wisconsin manufacturers makes a strong statement about the teamwork, creativity, and dedication of our employees,” said Jim McIntyre, president and CEO of The Greenheck Group. “And we are very fortunate to have owners who have maintained a future view by making substantial risk investments in new products, opening new U.S. and world markets, and paying for new plants and machines. Each of our employees has breathed life into these investments resulting in improved operating efficiencies, superior customer service, excellent product quality, and ongoing innovation.”

Greenheck employs 2,500 individuals worldwide (1,800 located in Wisconsin), with annual sales exceeding $550 million, and maintains more than 1.8 million square feet of manufacturing space at its facilities in Schofield, Wis.; Frankfort, Ky.; Sacramento, Calif; Kings Mountain, N.C.; Saltillo, Mexico; and Kunshan, China; and operates distribution centers in Greensboro, N.C.; Miami; Dallas; and Sacramento, Calif.
