March 8, 2013: Packard Opens New Warehouse in Las Vegas for Faster West Coast Service

KENNESAW, Ga. — With increasing demand for air conditioning and refrigeration compressors from its West Coast wholesale customers, Packard Inc. has announced the opening of a warehouse in Las Vegas. The HVACR master distributor already maintains an 80,000-square-foot warehouse in Georgia. This expansion now allows for faster compressor order turnaround for customers located in the West.

The company has also made other recent moves to better serve the needs of its West Coast customer base. In April 2012, Packard put in place a California-based inside sales representative who maintains West Coast hours, in addition to hiring a Western regional sales manager.

“Our customers spoke and we listened,” said Susan Kirkland, president. “Our warehouse expansion to Las Vegas gives our West Coast wholesalers a great advantage — allowing them the flexibility of ordering the specific compressors they need and being able to receive them as quickly as next day if ordered by 11 p.m. PST.”

Packard’s West Coast warehouse will maintain residential and commercial compressor inventory from Bristol, Danfoss, and Embraco. “We inventory and warehouse the most complete line of replacement reciprocating and scroll compressors.” said Kirkland. “Packard is the complete compressor source, and now that we ship from both coasts, we can truly deliver to the level of service that we strive to achieve.”

With corporate headquarters located in Kennesaw, Ga., Packard has sales offices in California, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, and Virginia, and as well as 39 independent manufacturers’ representatives servicing wholesalers across the U.S.
