Johnson Controls Inc.: Zoning Communicating Control

York IBCapable of achieving temperature and humidity set points, the touch-screen zoning Communicating Control has been added to the York® Affinity™ Communicating Control product offerings. According to the manufacturer, the zoning Communicating Control communicates with all key components in a home-comfort system, providing total-system integration that ensures maximum system efficiency and homeowner comfort while equipping contractors with a reliable, distinctive tool to increase profits and build their business. It can be used as a master and zoning sensor, providing up to six zones of control with a single zone panel. Fan airflow adjustments can be made by zone to compensate for ductwork variability, and the control enables fan programming by zone. The zoning control also features damper flexibility, including power open/power close dampers (required when not using an optional bypass damper), normally open dampers, and normally closed dampers. The control offers a simplified four-wire plug-and-play design that eliminates time-consuming wiring and system checking at installation. The touch-screen display can be configured to give homeowners the level of information they desire, including basic or detailed fault alerts with the contractor’s contact information prominently displayed.
