ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Tecumseh Products Co. announced that Kent Herrick has resigned from its board of directors and as its chairman, effective Jan. 17.

Herrick informed the company that his decision to resign was driven by the pace of the strategic decision making by the company. He joined the company in 1995 and held several positions in engineering and management throughout the corporation.

He was named executive vice president in January 2005 and took over as the company’s chairman in October 2009.
