Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration: Foodservice and Food Retail Unit Coolers

Foodservice and Food Retail Unit CoolerA slim-profile unit cooler for walk-in cooler applications is designed for foodservice operation. Targeting medium-temperature applications, the Slim Contour integrates an energy-efficient advanced air mover with a modular design, high-strength resin housing, and a refrigeration-duty optimized small-diameter coil design to provide a maximum cooling performance with a low height of less than 11 inches, the company said. The unit cooler integrates a sloped drain line with a lower-profile height to improve the storage capacity within a walk-in cooler and reduce the likelihood of drain-line damage. According to the manufacturer, the modular fan cassettes of the unit cooler allow for unprecedented access to the drain pan and coil for cleaning and servicing of the unit. The unit cooler comes standard equipped with energy-efficient EC (electronically commutative) motors for increased energy efficiency, and can be coupled with the Beacon II refrigeration system to maximize system-energy savings and performance.
