Emerson Launches New Website for HVAC Contractors and Homeowners
ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies has launched AC & Heating Connect (www.ac-heatingconnect.com), a new website for HVAC contractors, facility managers, and homeowners developed to provide useful tools for improving business and communicating with customers.
While there are existing sites for contractors and help sites for homeowners, Emerson said it saw an opportunity to create a dual resource site where both parties could have access to unbiased information. The goal of AC & Heating Connect is to help homeowners, facility managers, and contractors find common ground in terminology, technology, and regulations that will lead to mutually trusted and informed decisions about purchasing HVAC equipment and solutions.
“Many homeowners look to their contractor for advice. Emerson wants to help these contractors increase their client satisfaction by providing homeowner-friendly information they can share with their customers as they are facing important HVAC purchase decisions,” said Frank Landwehr, vice president of marketing at Emerson Climate Technologies.
Emerson said AC & Heating Connect gives contractors industry insights, tools to share with customers such as an HVAC glossary, the benefits of high-efficiency systems, and diagrams of how their HVAC systems work. “Most people will only face HVAC investment decisions a few times in their life, and usually at a time they aren’t planning,” said Landwehr. “We hope AC & Heating Connect will be a timely and helpful resource for contractors as they work with customers to help them make the most informed decisions about their HVAC system needs ahead of the regulation changes coming in 2015.”
The site also provides information for facility managers who are responsible for making heating and cooling decisions in facilities such as small office buildings, retail stores, and rental properties where air conditioning and heating equipment decisions can affect bottom line business results.
Emerson said it is not planning to promote specific products or solutions on the site and is not supporting the site through outside sponsorships. “We hope to be a one-stop-shop for people looking for answers to questions about their HVAC equipment,” said Landwehr.
