New Leadership for Wolseley Canada

BURLINGTON, Ontario — Wolseley Canada has announced the following two appointments, effective Aug. 1, 2013:

Keith VanderVennet, currently the senior vice president of Wolseley Canada, is returning to Ferguson, Wolseley’s U.S. operations, in the role of senior vice president of sales.

Darcy Curran will succeed VanderVennet as senior vice president of Wolseley Canada. In this role, Curran will have full management and profit and loss responsibility over all facets of Wolseley Canada, including customer service, strategic planning, and execution as well as delivering on the company’s financial targets.

Curran has been with Ferguson since 1987, and has been instrumental in integrating acquisitions, opening new locations, and growing market share with existing businesses. Since 2006 Curran has served as the general manager of Ferguson’s Washington/Baltimore profit center.

“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to join Wolseley Canada. I look forward to working with the talented Canadian team and helping this dynamic business grow even stronger,” said Curran. “My family and I are eager to move to Canada, where many of my extended family still live and have for generations”

Curran will relocate to Burlington, Ontario, in mid-February to begin the transition.
