COLUMBUS, Ohio — Heating, Air-conditioning, and Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI) announced that the steady sales growth of 2012 continued in November with the average U.S. HVACR distributor reporting a 6-percent increase in sales for the month.

The growth was enhanced by the comparison to an unusually weak November 2011.

Distributor’s 12-month sales-growth rate of 4.5 percent is the highest reported since July with growth in the refrigeration, controls, and HVAC subsectors, HARDI economist Andrew Duguay said.

Unitary sales increased 7.2 percent during the month. The strongest geographical achievement came in the central and southwest regions with gains of more than 5 percent, and the southeast, which gained more than 4 percent.

Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) increased again in November, but that is consistent with the normal seasonal increase from the summer lows. DSO remains below 50, the median level of the past four years.
