The FS5H QuickTrap® is designed for drainage of superheated or high-pressure steam mains, equipment, and turbines up to 650 psig and 800ºF. The FreeFloat® design allows for rapid and smooth removal of condensate, and the unique three-point seating ensures a steamtight seal, even under no-load conditions. The stainless steel, two-bolt QuickTrap provides a universal strainer connector with optional blow down that enables steam trap replacement in minutes without disturbing the piping, and can be installed in pipe work of any angle orientation, the company said. The unit steam trap features thermostatic air venting for fast start-up. According to the manufacturer, rugged float construction with up to 2,300-psig hydraulic shock float rating ensures high resistance to water hammer. The FS5H is available in ½-, ¾-, and 1-inch NPT, socked weld, and Class 600 flange connections.
