CARMEL, Ind. — Trane has been named one of the most reliable gas furnaces on the market, according to Consumer Reports magazine’s recently released Annual Product Reliability Survey.

The survey reached 32,251 subscribers that bought furnaces between 2007 and early 2012. According to the results, Trane ranked second among all brands in equipment requiring the fewest repairs. In a separate survey of more than 3,000 consumers, Trane ranked highest in satisfaction among homeowners of any HVAC brand, with an 87 percent score.
