ROCKVILLE, Md. — The Mechanical Contractors Association of America’s (MCAA) Management Methods Committee is releasing several new bulletins aimed at helping contractors meet daily business challenges.

The Insurance Punch List has been updated and revised to provide basic information about the types of insurance coverage available to contractors and what plans they should have to safeguard their businesses, operations, and employees. “Tips to Help Contractors Through an Economic Downturn” has also been revised to reflect current economic conditions. The bulletin offers helpful advice about what signs to look for when market trends go down, how to begin the recovery process, how to protect your company through it all, and more.

Several legal bulletins also have been updated: Protecting Lien Rights, Records Retention, Federal Prompt Payment Act, and Contract Clauses.

In addition, three bulletins in the subcontracts section have been revised and updated, as well: Suggested Subcontract Form, Indemnification Clauses, and Comparison of Industry Standard Form Agreements between General Contractor and Subcontractor, which replaces both SC 3 and SC 4.
