Stem said its system leverages the company’s proprietary combination of big data, predictive analytics, and energy storage to intelligently switch between grid power and battery power to reduce energy costs. According to Stem, the system offers an automatic, real-time decision making engine that dynamically stores energy from the grid and discharges energy into building operations to create maximum energy savings for customers. The system is powered by Stem’s cloud software and advanced power electronics working together to operate CODA Energy’s lithium-ion battery core.

Stem’s system runs on large amounts of data, including historical weather information and industry vertical usage patterns. Customers benefit from the system’s analytical insights into past, present, and projected future energy use to guide operational decisions.
