CHICAGO — Coyne College recently awarded its Joseph H. Casey award to Chicago resident Erik Voster.

The Joseph H. Casey award recognizes individual students whose attitudes, traits, habits, qualities, and behaviors exemplify professionalism. Students are nominated by faculty and award certificates are presented to students on a quarterly basis. Nominees for this award exhibit maturity, focus, reliability, compliance with rules and regulations, professionalism in speech, and comportment responsibility for themselves and respect for others.

“Erik was an excellent student with a 100 percent average and had the highest lab jobs in five years,” said Vito Gentile, electrical instructor, Coyne College. “He helped his fellow students, had perfect attendance in my class, and always had a positive attitude.”

Cathleen Crawford, general education instructor, Coyne College, called Voster an exemplary student.

“Erik is a straight-A student that is committed to the learning process,” she said. “He is bright, polite, and gracious about sharing his knowledge.”
