ESCO Unveils Training Course
The course covers four main points: introduction to building heat transfer; building envelope analysis; windows and doors; and heat gain and loss calculations. Instruction is provided through a 500-slide PowerPoint presentation, complete with speaker’s notes and more.
ESCO Institute reports that determining the proper heating and cooling load for a structure is among the most important processes that can be completed by a technician or contractor when installing a new heating and air system. However, energy studies show that 72 percent of residential systems are improperly sized. A system that is too large or small can greatly impact not only the building occupant’s comfort and health, but also the energy consumption of the structure and equipment life.
