Acoustical Hurricane LouverThe ACL1245AFD acoustical hurricane louver combines outstanding noise reduction with the proven performance of a Miami-Dade tested hurricane louver, said the company. Tested for large missile impact, uniform pressure, and cyclic wind pressure to TAS-201, 202, and 203 respectively, this louver system can withstand design pressures of ±150 psf. The acoustical louver has 12-inch deep airfoil blades and a 45-degree blade angle. According to the manufacturer, the airfoil blades have greater strength, provide for lower pressure drop, and produce less sound. The insulated blades provide weather protection and sound attenuation. The louver also utilizes the manufacturer’s box frame system for quick and easy installation in most any kind of wall construction. The louver’s construction can be either formed steel or formed aluminum. The louvers are available with a variety of in-house painted and anodized finishes. The louver is available in 60-inch-wide single-ship sections.
