The Refri-Claim® service division of ICOR provides a Simple Swap™ cylinder exchange service that allows refrigerant users to return common refrigerants to one of several participating wholesale distributors throughout the country.

In response to the accelerated phaseout of HCFCs, Indianapolis-based refrigerant producer ICOR International has expanded its refrigerant reclamation operations.

According to a statement from the company issued in October, the Refri-Claim® service division provides a Simple Swap™ cylinder exchange service wherein refrigerant users can return common air conditioning and refrigeration refrigerants to one of several participating wholesale distributors throughout the country.

“The need to recover and reclaim will continue to grow in importance as the HCFC phaseout cuts deeper again next year into the production and importation of products like R-22,” said ICOR VP Gordon McKinney. “We now have full refrigerant distillation capabilities at our Las Vegas and Indianapolis processing centers, as well as hydrostatic pressure testing for recertifying DOT 49 recovery cylinders, and state-of-the-art gas chromatography. Our reclaim service is well prepared for rapid growth, and we are very well positioned in the market.”
