Nov. 14, 2012: AGC Chief Economist Elected President of National Association for Business Economics

NEW YORK — The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) has elected Ken Simonson, chief economist of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), as the president of NABE for 2012-2013.

“I am honored, fortunate, and excited to have been selected as NABE’s president,” Simonson said. “Over the past year, under current president Gene Huang’s leadership, NABE has accomplished more, and launched more initiatives, than at any time I can remember. I look forward to building upon these successes.”

A longtime NABE member, Simonson served as NABE vice president during the 2011-2012 year. He has 40 years of experience in analyzing, advocating, and communicating about economic and tax issues. He joined the Associated General Contractors of America as chief economist in 2001.
