Because of the importance of education in the HVACR industry,The NEWS and the Air-Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) are proud to announce the winners of this year’s Best Instructor and Best Trainer contests.

This is the 13th year that The NEWS has sponsored a contest inviting members of the industry to nominate individuals for the Best Instructor contest. In addition, this year The NEWS added a category for HVACR trainers who deserve to be recognized for their dedication to HVACR education.

For 2012, Mike Leonard of the Interactive College of Technology, Chamblee, Ga., has been named the Best Instructor. Don Crawshaw of Pikes Peak Community College, Colorado Springs, Colo., is the runner-up.

Chris Mohalley of Genteq, Fort Wayne, Ind., is the recipient of the inaugural Best Trainer award. The runner-up is Harold Nelson of Mingledorff’s, Norcross, Ga.
