Oct. 31, 2012: PowerMag Awarded Patent for Magnetic Heating Device

CHICAGO — PowerMag LLC announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has awarded the company a patent (U.S. Patent No. 8,283,615) for a heating device that generates heat through the use of magnetic fields created with its proprietary rotor designs. The MAG-Heat™ device is said to be more energy efficient than conventional electric heaters and is designed to evenly warm the air with magnetic heating elements.

The company also has additional patents pending for the use of its technology to heat liquids and other inert gases with multiple residential, commercial, and industrial device applications.

PowerMag CEO Joseph Wagner said, “The granting of this patent marks a key addition to our intellectual property portfolio in the field of magnetic heating. The patent issuance demonstrates the novelty and utility of our magnetic heating technology.”

“PowerMag is proud to be at the cutting-edge of clean-technology innovation, and this patent issuance provides significant validation of the technology that our team is producing,” said Doug Mohler, COO. “We will continue to innovate in the field of magnetic heating and electrical demand reduction as we strive to find new ways to reduce electrical consumption for our customers and strategic partners.”
