Oct. 9, 2012: Bristol Compressors Names Gniewek as New CEO

BRISTOL, Va. — Bristol Compressors International Inc., a leading global producer of compressors for use in air conditioning, heat pump, and refrigeration systems, announced that it has named Ed Gniewek as CEO.

Gniewek most recently served as president of EFP Corp., a producer of engineered products and packaging for the medical, pharmaceutical, food, consumer, and building markets. Prior to EFP, Gniewek was CEO and president of Durakon Industries, a key supplier to the automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and aftermarket sector. He has also held executive positions at Johnson Controls Automotive Group, Intertec Systems, TechnoTrim, Allen Industries, and Ford Motor Co. Since 2006, he has served on the board of directors at Creative Foam Corp.

During a career that spans nearly four decades, Gniewek has managed companies ranging from $22 million to $1 billion in sales revenue.

“I look forward to working with the experienced team at Bristol Compressors as we solidify current customer relationships, build new customer business, and expand product lines,” Gniewek said. “This is an exciting time in the history of the company, with ever-increasing market demands — not only in North America but also throughout the world.”
