AUSTIN, Texas — A new company called Noesis announced that it is providing a collection of free tools, collectively called Noesis Free, that let the user analyze a building’s historical energy consumption and costs, compare buildings within a portfolio to find the best and worst performers (i.e., the opportunities for savings), benchmark buildings against their regional peers, and run monthly portfolio and facility reports. The tools also let the user identify ways to reduce consumption, share best practices and exchange ideas with peers, and more.

Noesis Free allows the user to export data, from consumption data to chart outputs, in spreadsheet format. The company said there are no limitations on the number of buildings or portfolios, and there is no limit on the use of the service or the number of people accessing a building or portfolio.

During the fourth quarter of 2012, Noesis will launch Noesis Pro, a set of premium-priced tools designed to help building and energy professionals improve energy performance, such as advanced ROI modeling and measurement and verification tools. The company said that the basic features of Noesis will remain free for those users who wish to continue using that service.
