It operates at exceptionally quiet noise levels as low as 0.8 sones, and includes an Energy Star-rated 18-W compact fluorescent lightbulb. The WhisperRecessed is labeled by Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) as IC-rated, indicating that the lighting fixture can be installed with direct contact with insulation.
