Scotsman Earns EPA Energy Star Partner of the Year Honors
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has named Scotsman Ice Systems as a 2012 Energy Star Partner of the Year – Product Manufacturer for its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by manufacturing energy-efficient products and helping to educate consumers about those products. Scotsman’s accomplishments were recognized at an awards ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of Energy Star.
Scotsman was honored for its leadership in manufacturing products that earn the Energy Star, the government-backed symbol of energy efficiency. In a statement regarding the recognition, Scotsman said it offers more than 65 Energy Star-qualified ice machine models. Additionally, 31 Scotsman ice machines are qualified for the maximum Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) Tier-2 qualified performance criteria, which exceeds the current Energy Star standard.
