July 5, 2012: Fujitsu Offers In-Depth VRF Training

FAIRFIELD, N.J. — Fujitsu Training Academy now offers Airstage V-II training classes online, at the Fujitsu VRF Training Center in Fairfield, N.J., and also at the Alabama HVAC Training Center in Verbena, Ala.

“We’ve expanded our ability to provide variable refrigerant flow systems training for contractors and engineers on the design, installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostics of VRF systems,” said Roy Kuczera, senior vice president, Fujitsu General America Inc.

Fujitsu Training Academy courses are designed for sales reps, contractors, distributors, architects, and engineers. Topics include product introduction, equipment and components, and system design considerations.

Fujitsu said free-of-charge online training at the Airstage portal site (portal.fujitsugeneral.com) is the prerequisite to attending the manufacturer’s three-day, in-depth factory training for VRF technology.

The three-day training is held at the VRF Training Center and the Alabama HVAC Training Center.

The course covers:

• System component essentials;

• System design simulator software hands-on training;

• Installation component set-up and service basics;

• External inputs/outputs;

• System controller and web monitoring software and lab;

• Refrigerant cycle and charging;

• Service tool software and lab; and

• Start-up and commissioning.

Also included is an online final test covering the knowledge gained in both the online and hands-on training.

A three-day training fee of $800 is charged for local participants; a $1,200 fee includes a three-night hotel stay and airport transfer for those who travel to training sites.

Current dates and locations are listed online at airstage.fujitsugeneral.com/training.htm.
