PRYOR, Okla. — RAE Corp. has announced that all plants and offices will temporarily close on Thursday, July 5 and Friday, July 6 for renovations. The company said these improvements will allow it to more efficiently serve customers and create a facility positioned for future growth. The extensive renovations include installing air conditioning in the manufacturing plant.

“With last year’s record heat and our company’s record sales, we experienced a significant impact in the efficiency of our manufacturing plant. We made the promise to our employees to improve the working conditions in our plant,” said Kevin Trowhill, RAE vice president of sales.

The plant will also be closed on Wednesday, July 4 to observe Independence Day. The shutdown was planned to coincide with the holiday to minimize customer inconvenience. The company said the plant closure may have a slight impact on lead times.

“We are committed to our employees and our customers. These enhancements will help equip our staff to better handle the business during the hot summer months and reduce our lead times in the long term. More importantly, the renovations will help continue our tradition of quality products by providing our employees with comfortable and safe working conditions,” said Trowhill.
