Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) welcomed Menergy Geothermal Inc. (Markham, Ontario, Canada) and Terra-Therm Inc. (Gardner, Mass.) as water-source heat pump certification program participants.

Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) announced that Brendan Reid, CEO, Comfort Institute (Bellingham, Wash.), joined the Building Performance Council advisory committee.

Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) will host its 69th annual convention, Oct. 14-17, in Las Vegas.

Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA) announced that the board of standards review of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved the reaffirmation of ANSI/AMCA Standard 204-05, Balance Quality and Vibration Levels for Fans.

National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) donated $10,000 to American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) research. The donation earned NEBB membership in ASHRAE’s Golden Circle.
