ecobee Kicks Off Road Trip

NORTHBORO, Mass. — To kick off the launch of its new residential and commercial products, ecobee Inc. will embark on a seven-week road trip across the United States.

Members of the ecobee team will travel cross-country in an ecobee-branded RV until June 25 and stop at more than 50 ecobee distributor locations to host morning, lunch, and afternoon events for HVAC contractors.

During these scheduled events, the ecobee team will conduct live demos of the new residential Smart Si and commercial EMS Si thermostats, host training sessions, and offer breakfast and lunch.

Throughout the road trip, the ecobee RV will also stop at various local attractions to showcase the ecobee Smart Si thermostat to consumers, offer giveaways, and perform live product demonstrations. For the duration of the cross-country tour, ecobee will host two contests, including one for HVAC contractors who attend the distributor events, and one for consumers who can tweet a photo of the ecobee RV for a chance to win a new iPad.

“We’re so thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase our latest product, the new Smart Si, and give a sneak peek of our EMS Si thermostat through our first ever cross-country road trip,” said Stuart Lombard, president and CEO, ecobee. “What better way to get the word out about these sensational new products, than to offer live demos and product training to our distributor and contractor partners across the U.S., and have a little fun while we’re at it? We can’t wait to hit the road to embark on this adventure.”

The company will be purchasing carbon offsets to cover all travel associated with the road trip, including both vehicle and air transportation. The ecobee road trip is scheduled to make the following stops: Tampa, Fla., May 29; Orlando, Fla., May 30; Raleigh, N.C., June 1; New York, June 4; Hanover and Hawthorne, N.J., June 5; Cape Cod, Mass., June 6; Boston, June 6-8; Manchester and Portsmouth, N.H., June 7; Cleveland, June 11; Columbus, Ohio, June 12; Indianapolis, June 13; Chicago, June 14; Milwaukee, June 15; Boise, Idaho, June 15; St. Louis, June 18; Springfield, Mo., June 18; and Denver, June 21.
