CSA Publishes 2012 Version of Hydronic Code

TORONTO — The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) recently published the third version of B214, Installation Code for Hydronic Heating Systems. This version supersedes previous editions published in 2001 and 2007. The code sets out the minimum provisions for the installation, extension, alteration, and renewal of hydronic heating systems.

The B214 code applies to open and closed hydronic heating systems that include hydronic space heating, radiant heating, convectors, fan coils, combination portable water heating and space heating systems, integrated mechanical systems, indirect-fired domestic water heating, pool and spa heating, and other auxiliary systems. For more information, call Jeff Zimmerman at 905-602-4700 ext. 223, or email jzimmerman@hrai.ca.
