Comfort Supply to Distribute Daikin HVAC Products
“We are excited to have formed this partnership with Comfort Supply and to provide products within middle and east Tennessee,” said Peter Van Booven, regional sales manager for Daikin. “I am confident that Daikin’s extensive product lineup — from high value split and multi-split systems for residential and light commercial spaces, to larger and energy efficient systems for commercial environments — will meet the needs of Tennessee’s commercial and residential heating and cooling needs.”
The Daikin line includes a variable refrigerant volume (VRV) series for commercial use. VRV is an applied heating and cooling system that distributes refrigerant, rather than water, to multiple fan coil units serving the conditioned spaces. Its features include tight temperature control, large capacity, and quiet operation.
“It is an energy efficient, centralized system that offers many zones for individual control, resulting in absolute comfort and superior heating performance,” said John Freeman, account manager for Daikin. “The VRV method uses inverter variable speed technology to minimize temperature fluctuations. The compressor capacity is modulated automatically to maintain a constant suction pressure, while varying the refrigerant volume to deliver accurately the needs of the cooling or heating loads.”
Comfort Supply will carry a full line of Daikin’s inverter systems.
“Inverter technology can reduce energy consumption by roughly 30 percent compared to systems not using inverters,” said Billy Jobe, regional district manager for Comfort Supply. “Contractors can feel good knowing that they are promoting products that will save their customers from high energy consumption, and products that will lessen the industry’s overall environmental impact.”
Daikin’s residential offerings stocked at Comfort Supply will include wall-mounted, split type heat pump or cool only for single room applications, and a multi-split type series for multiple rooms or whole house solutions.
Throughout the spring, Comfort Supply will host a series of training sessions with Pat Sankolewicz, Daikin technical manager, to guide dealers on Daikin systems. A training class at Comfort Supply’s Nashville branch at 305 Arlington Ave. will be held May 23. Additional training dates are to be announced.
