Mortgage and Housing Corp. Releases Trends Report

OTTAWA — The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. (CMHC) recently released the 2011 edition of its Canadian Housing Observer — a comprehensive annual overview of the latest housing conditions and trends across Canada.

Users can access a broad range of statistical information on housing conditions from national, regional, and local perspectives online. This year’s edition also features new online interactive tables, with targeted housing data at the local level for more than 100 municipalities.

“The Observer is unique in its in-depth review of housing conditions and trends, including developments — both domestic and international — that influence housing finance and housing market developments in Canada,” said Karen Kinsley, president, CMHC.

Visit the CMHC website for more information or to access a free copy of the 2011 Canadian Housing Observer at www.cmhc.ca/observer/.
