HVAC Contractor Increases Fleet Efficiencies With NexTraq Fleet Tracking

ATLANTA — NexTraq announced that its client Absolute Comfort Technologies has improved fleet operations with its NexTraq™ Fleet Tracking platform while decreasing overhead costs such as fuel and insurance premiums. In addition, its Fleet Dispatch application improved customer service by providing more accurate estimated time of arrival (ETA).

Charles Shockley, president of Absolute Comfort Technologies, said, “Our demo was cancelled with one company because they were having issues with their system’s availability. After that, the selection process was narrowed.” After working with a NexTraq sales representative, Shockley selected NexTraq Fleet Tracking and its Fleet Dispatch application.

Absolute Comfort Technologies benefited in all areas of its fleet operations from NexTraq’s reporting and alert functionality. Shockley said, “We have a better handle on our payroll hours by using the Start/Stop Report as a weekly timecard and the Begin/End Day Summary Report.”

In addition, Shockley uses the Idle Report to monitor fleet fuel usage and find areas to reduce fuel consumption and cost. With the Fleet Dispatch application in combination with in-vehicle Garmin® GPS devices, Shockley is able to dispatch the closest vehicle to a service call to offer better customer service and get more jobs done in a workday.

Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq, said, “The NexTraq Fleet Tracking platform offers our customers a tool to improve fleet productivity and driver safety while reducing overhead costs through automating what was once a time-consuming and virtually impossible task. Knowing how effective your fleet is running is the first step to making dramatic improvements that help our customers achieve ROI in as little as one month.”

Shockley said, “From implementation to customer support, NexTraq is second-to-none. We have experienced no downtime and were trained quickly due to its easy-to-understand user interface. The professionalism of our interactions with every aspect of NexTraq has proven we made the right decision.”
