TEMPE, Ariz. — The fifth annual Air Conditioning Contractors of America-Arizona (ACCA-AZ) Tradeshow and Green Conference drew a record number of attendees, noted the organization’s executive director, Antoine Coffer.

“As of 10 a.m., we had over 200 people come through the doors,” he said.

The tradeshow featured six seminars, ranging from flat-rate pricing strategies to the importance of performance contracting. Numerous exhibitors were also on hand to showcase their latest products and services. Chapter president Rich Morgan, Magic Touch Mechanical, Mesa, Ariz., said getting involved in ACCA at the local level is important, because it gives contractors a voice in the industry, as well as raises the bar.

In addition to the annual tradeshow, ACCA-AZ hosts a monthly luncheon for members, as well as the Professional Air Conditioning Contractors Program and HVAC Test and Repair Incentive Program, which include 48 hours of NATE-recognized material and continuing education units.
