low-water cut-offIntelligent controls built into the McDonnell & Miller RBT-3000 low-water cut-off and fuel economizer bring advanced microprocessor technology to virtually any existing boiler, automatically adjusting water temperature based on heat load and without the need for an outdoor sensor. The new generation of boiler control technology is designed to maximize fuel efficiency and provide valuable low-water cut-off protection for hydronic heating systems. The cut-off provides the added protection of an exclusive self-cleaning probe, which eliminates the need for probe maintenance, the company said. The RBT-3000 also provides burner cut-off if the water level drops below safe levels due to buildup on the probe that can lead to boiler shutdown and the potential for water overfill; interrupted water supply; system leaks; or potential problems with applications, such as perimeter heat, snow melt, slab on grade, and indirect water heaters.

It is good to implement technology into the products that are for everyday usage. It helps us better operate products like machineries which can sometimes be complicated for manual intervention. Thus, embedding a technological device or application can help ease that complicated portion. For this particular setting, to have the water supply automatically stopped after the temperature has dropped or risen to a particular level, means that safety is assured.
