Successful Chiller Optimization Leads to Two Additional Installations

TULSA, Okla. — EffTec International Inc., provider of a leading water-cooled chiller optimization solution, announced that the company has completed the second add-on installation for a major computer manufacturing customer, bringing the total number of EffTrack™ systems operating at the client’s facilities to three.

EffTec performed a preliminary installation at a facility in Texas last year, which prompted the customer to purchase an additional system. The results have been so successful that the customer placed a second add-on purchase order for approximately $135,000 to add a third EffTrack system for its facilities, said EffTec. In addition, the second installation has been approved for a rebate of up to 50 percent of the total cost of ownership for two years by the local utility.

The EffTrack system is an Internet-based analysis and trending tool for water-cooled chillers. The system collects, stores, and analyzes data from the chiller, identifies and diagnoses any problems or inefficiencies, and recommends corrective action to improve the performance of the equipment. It can provide cost analyses of suggested improvements and measure the results of corrective actions. According to EffTec, the system has shown that it can save facilities anywhere from 15 to 25 percent on their energy costs, thereby significantly reducing operating costs.

“We are thrilled to be receiving recurring orders from our customers, as we feel that it validates our technology and demonstrates the need for our product,” said Keith Johnson, president of Efficiency Technologies, the wholly-owned operating subsidiary of EffTec International. “This is a great example for companies that have numerous facilities across the country, as it demonstrates that having multiple EffTrack systems can exponentially increase the overall energy efficiency and subsequent savings that company will enjoy.”
