• The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) launched a certification program for indoor pool dehumidifiers (IPD). This is AHRI’s 38th certification program.

• The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) is seeking volunteers to serve on committees to review AMCA Standards 300, 320, 540, and 550.

• American Society for Testing Materials International (ASTM) will host a subcommittee of ASTM’s International Committee E44 on Solar, Geothermal, and other Alternative Energy Sources, in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), July 11-12 in San Francisco.

• The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) honored Bob McAllister and Fred Hutchinson with the Spirit of Federation Award.
