April 4, 2012: Polargy and ASM Modular Systems Partner to Provide Data Center Airflow Solutions

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Polargy, a leading provider of hot- and cold-aisle data center containment solutions, announced that it is partnering with ASM Modular Systems, a leading raised-access flooring company in North America, to provide a complementary set of data center airflow solutions. The new partnership makes ASM Modular Systems the exclusive distributor of Polargy’s PolarPlex™ Containment Systems in the United States and Canada.

“With today’s IT equipment densities in the data center, it is critical to integrate the whole airflow path. This partnership brings together the two logical elements of that airflow path: the floor and the room above it,” said Cary Frame, CEO of Polargy. “This partnership will not only provide data center managers with access to better airflow solutions, but it will also allow Polargy to accelerate sales throughout North America.”

“With adoption of containment, our customers are increasingly asking ASM to deploy airflow solutions that consider both the floor and the room,” said Nathan Olson, general manager of ASM.

As the distributor for Polargy, ASM will provide its network of channel partners and installers with the following Polargy data center products: PolarRack™ airflow- and containment-friendly server racks; PolarPlex containment system doors, panels, and curtains; and the PolarDAM™ family of cooling accessories.
