SMACNA Seeks Input on Manual

CHANTILLY, Va. — The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA) is accepting public comments on its HVAC Systems Commissioning Manual. All comments are due on or before the close of business, April 17, to be considered by the task force for inclusion in the newest edition.

SMACNA’s HVAC Systems Commissioning Manual is intended to cover the full range of HVAC equipment and systems typically found in commercial and institutional buildings. The manual provides guidance to contractors on how an effective HVAC systems commissioning process should be planned and carried out. The manual also provides an explanation of the reasons for commissioning. Comments should be referenced by page, figure, or table. Suggestions related to text should include a specific paragraph reference.

Comments may be sent to techmanualsreview@smacna.org, via mail to HVAC Systems Commissioning 60-Day Review, c/o SMACNA, 4201 Lafayette Center Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151, or by fax (703) 803-3732. For more information, or to view a copy of the manual, visit http://bit.ly/yjNyZy.
